My College Experience happened in Ecuador, Miami-Florida and China:

Karina Tama was born on September 04 1976 in Guayaquil- Ecuador (South America). Karina grew up in Ecuador, and she moved to the United States in July of 2005.

Karina studied at the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil. There she studied for four semesters in the school of International Business. While Karina was attending the university, she opened a small chain-clothing store. She used to own four clothing stores located in Guayaquil – Ecuador. Karina was doing retail and wholesale. In the clothing business Karina used to manage import, supervise sales, and follow up on customer relationships. In July of 2005 she decided to move to the United States where she enrolled in Miami Dade College and she received an Associate in Arts in Business Administration. In 2009 Karina transferred to Florida International University. Then during the summer of 2010 Karina attended classes at Zhejiang University, in Hangzhou –China. This is one of the top five schools in China. She took Business in Asia, Basic Chinese I, Culture and Society, Economic and History classes. Karina also visited Beijing and she visited the most important government buildings, and museums. In addition, she went to Yiwu.
Yiwu is a well-known city in China for its huge wholesale from factory sales. This travel to China helped Karina to understand the different approaches in manufacturing, Culture, and business in China.
Karina was part of “AMA” American Marketing Association.
With AMA she participated in a program with Chevrolet; Karina was the one that modulate a focus group. Her college experience was amazing thank to AMA and its projects. Karina Tama really enjoyed it.

On May 2012 she got a Bachelors in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing and a Certificate in Export/Import Management.

“College inspired me to think differently. It’s like no other time in your life”.
